I have been asked that question by a few of you so here are my tips to stop eating junk foods when you have cravings. I know how hard it is and I do not always follow it but I hope this will help you. Consistency is key to success in everything so do not worry if you have a sweet or 2 every 2 to 3 days. It will not stop your progress, as long as you are consistent.

Firstly, as I have said it in many of my videos, DO NOT HAVE JUNK FOODS AT HOME!!! I will repeat it over and over just because this is the best way to avoid it. It is not here so you have to make an effort to go out and you will most likely end up staying home (most of the time!).

Second, have a provision of healthy snacks that you can have when those cravings are attacking you. I personally have fresh and dried fruits, yogurts and nuts. You can have wholemeal bread as well and make yourself a toast with avocado, cheese or nuts butter (almond butter, cashew butter, peanut butter). Make sure you read the ingredients and choose the ones with no added sugar or salt. As a general rule, the less ingredients, the better.

Third, make sure that you eat enough for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Do not skip meals and include a portion of protein, carbs and/ or vegetables with it. If you eat well, you will be less likely prone to have cravings.

My last advice, and you will probably laugh but it helps me, is to have mint chewing-gums (no sugar obviously) by your side. I found that whenever I have a craving for sweets or unhealthy fats like crisps, eating a fresh chewing gum would stop the craving. Maybe because the freshness in my mouth makes me stop wanting to eat... That one was weird but give it a try and let me know if it worked for you ;)
